The LIMINARC, The Modular Airship Fleet
When the Limitless Interdimensional Messengers Instantiated Near and Afar need to deliver a letter or package, they typically just teleport to the destination. However, sometimes that’s not an option. When LIMINA must travel linearly, they take the their Relativistic Caravan: the LIMINARC.
The LIMINARC is a collection of bizarre airships used by the interdimensional post office. These ships are designed to fullfill all of the needs of the quirky agency. Some ships are more practical than others; after all, how often does a postal outfit need an enormous cannon? Nevertheless, LIMINA revels in the breadth of their airship designs, revealing that they are indeed ready for any unusual aerial adventure across the freesphere.
Whether your party works for LIMINA or opposes everything they do, they’re bound to do some of the following:
- Perpetrate or repel an airborne heist
- Map out a distant realm with noble wayfinders
- Square off against the Keepers of Slumber
- Explore the labyrinthine decks of Good Gorbus
Maps
The LIMINARC is unusual in Borough Bound’s offering of maps in that it is maximally modular. We offer 16 total ships including a massive flagship, plus dozens of backgrounds for you to mix and match. This gives you incredible flexibility, whether you want to execute high-flying battles or just roleplay on the deck of a parked vessel.
Every single ship comes with fully-fleshed out interiors and a color variant. Of particular note are the many decks of the flagship Good Gorbus. You should feel free to use our example decks, but you can also create your bespoke interiors with our library of corridor and room assets.
Many of our backgrounds for the LIMINARC tile seamlessly so you can make them as large or small as you want without any awkward tesselation. We also provide shipwrecks so that you can visualize destruction in the skies above or explore a downed ship planetside.
Music
The LIMINARC’s music is quasi-sci-fi, a touch ‘70s, and altogether jazzier than most RPG music in the market. This is likely our most idiosyncratic batch of music, leaning into themes of retrofuturism, weird space fantasy, and bureaucratic utopia. Rock out to “Longbarrel,” meditate with “Cosmic Haze,” and set off on adventure with “Pneumatic Pulse Drive.”
